Trump's Truth Social Expands Bitcoin Holdings to $900 Million Amid Unrealized Losses
Trump Media & Technology Group Corp., the parent company of Truth Social, has significantly expanded its Bitcoin holdings to over $900 million. According to its latest earnings report, Trump Media held 9,477.16 BTC on its balance sheet as of June 30, valued at $557.094 million, but this is down 33% from the amount reported for the six months ended Dec. 31, 2025. The company's Bitcoin stash would be worth more than $904 million at current prices.
The disclosure appeared in the 'Subsequent Events' section of Trump Media's earnings report and revealed that it added 4,661.84 BTC to its reserves last month, worth $333.43 million. This brings the total value of its Bitcoin holdings to over $900 million for July. The company behind Truth Social also reported holding a stash of Cronos (CRYPTO: CRO) in addition to its Bitcoin.
Trump Media's digital assets have resulted in a loss of $306.69 million on its 'digital assets' in the first half of 2026, which includes both Bitcoin and Cronos. The company posted a net loss of more than $238 million in the second quarter, with the 'vast bulk' being due to unrealized losses on its digital assets.
Trump Media's shares fell 0.53% in after-hours trading following the release of the earnings report. Year-to-date, the stock has plunged 29%. The company's owner, Donald Trump, maintains a 41.5% stake in the company, translating to a total of 114,750,000 shares, with an estimated value of $1.07 billion.
