Trust Wallet Axes Support for 25 Blockchain Networks
Trust Wallet is set to discontinue support for 25 blockchain networks on September 15. The decision, announced August 18, affects chains including Agoric and Aurora, which currently account for about a quarter of Trust Wallet's supported networks.
The wallet, with over 220 million downloads, will no longer provide native support for these networks. However, users can manually add the unsupported chains through custom RPC details. The move is seen as a resource allocation play by Trust Wallet, citing ongoing maintenance and security monitoring costs for each chain.
Trust Handle, a feature integrating with the FIO Protocol for human-readable names, will also be discontinued on September 15. Existing handles will stop functioning for in-app transactions after the cutoff date.
