Trust Wallet's Eowyn Chen Departs Amid Record Growth
Eowyn Chen is a technology executive who previously served as CEO of Trust Wallet from May 2022 until stepping down in February 2026. During her tenure, she grew the self-custody wallet's user base from 40 million to 230 million.
Chen began her career as a management consultant at Oliver Wyman in New York before moving into consumer technology and joining Binance in 2018. She held various roles within the company, including Director and Vice President of Corporate Development, where she was involved in more than 30 key investments and acquisitions.
As CEO of Trust Wallet, Chen oversaw the launch of a Browser Extension, Wallet-as-a-Service (WaaS) infrastructure development, and introduced Trust Wallet SWIFT, a smart contract-based wallet supporting one-click transactions. She described self-custody as a fundamental human right and emphasized secure key management and reduced complexity for users with varying technical familiarity.
