Tudor Investment Boosts BlackRock Bitcoin ETF Stake Amid Institutional Buying Frenzy
Tudor Investment has increased its stake in the BlackRock Bitcoin ETF by 18.9% in the second quarter, bringing an end to a year-long run of reductions.
The hedge fund added 109,446 shares of iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) during the quarter, taking its total holding to 688,529 shares valued at about $22.9 million.
This represents a significant increase from Tudor's previous peak of more than 8 million IBIT shares in late 2024, which it had been reducing since then.
The purchase also comes as other institutions have been increasing their exposure to the BlackRock Bitcoin ETF, including Morgan Stanley and UBS.
