Tusk Accuses Polish President and Former PM of Zondacrypto Ties

Share

Ahead of a possible vote in parliament to regulate the Polish cryptocurrency market, Prime Minister Donald Tusk has accused President Karol Nawrocki and former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki of benefiting from funding from the now-defunct Zondacrypto exchange.

The accusations come as a result of an investigation into the collapse of Zondacrypto in December 2025, which left customers unable to access their funds. Prosecutors estimate that losses total at least 2.4 billion złoty (€553 million).

Zondacrypto's CEO Przemysław Kral is cooperating with the investigation after going into hiding abroad.
