U.S. Bitcoin ETFs Attract Record $865M as Institutional Demand Rebounds
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw significant inflows last week, as institutional demand rebounded after months of outflows. From August 3 to 7, these funds attracted a net $865.3 million, making it one of the largest weekly increases so far this year.
The data shows that around 11,792 BTC moved into ETF-linked wallets during this period, valued at approximately $754 million. This surge in inflows comes as Bitcoin wallet creation hit a one-year high, with 2.27 million new wallets being created partly driven by defensive transfers following a Coldcard security breach.
This increase in activity highlights renewed confidence and increased network activity despite many institutional holders still facing unrealized losses. The $865.3 million net inflow is the second-largest weekly increase this year, suggesting that investors are becoming more optimistic about the cryptocurrency market.
