UAE Adviser Linked to Stake in Trump Family Crypto Bank
The UAE's national security adviser, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has been linked to a stake in the Trump family's cryptocurrency bank, World Liberty Financial.
Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his co-investors own 49% of WLTC Holdings, which is the holding company for World Liberty Financial. The remaining 38% belongs to an entity connected to the family of US President Donald Trump.
This investment was made in January 2025, when Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other investors put $500 million into World Liberty Financial, receiving a 49% stake in the cryptocurrency company. According to Trump's 2025 annual financial disclosure, $263 million of this deal went to Trump family entities.
