UAE Emerge as Key Hub for Digital Assets Amid Institutional Investment Surge
Bitcoin Suisse, a leading digital asset provider, has established its regional presence in Abu Dhabi as part of its expansion into the Middle East. The company received Financial Services Permission from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) at ADGM, allowing it to provide regulated virtual asset services to professional clients.
According to Andrej Majcen, co-founder and CEO of Bitcoin Suisse, the UAE is emerging as one of the world's leading digital asset markets, driven by institutional investors. The company's decision to set up in Abu Dhabi reflects growing confidence in the country's regulatory framework and long-term vision for digital finance.
The UAE has seen significant growth in cryptocurrency value, with over $56 billion transacted between mid-2024 and mid-2025, according to Chainalysis. Majcen attributes this to the maturation of the market, with institutional investors increasingly engaging with digital assets as part of long-term portfolio construction.
