UAE Integrates Avalanche Blockchain for Secure Digital Identity Infrastructure

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is integrating Avalanche blockchain technology into its digital identity infrastructure. The UAE PASS Digital Vault will use Avalanche to verify official documents and confirm they have not been altered.

Avalanche will power the infrastructure behind the Digital Vault, serving over 12 million people in the country. This integration marks a significant step for blockchain use in government services, highlighting its potential beyond financial applications.

The UAE PASS system already allows citizens, residents, and visitors to verify their identities, sign documents, and access thousands of government and private-sector services. The Digital Vault adds an extra layer by enabling users to securely access and share verified official documents.
