UAE's Digital Vault Mysterious Blockchain Connection
The UAE's Digital Vault is a blockchain-powered system used by over 11 million users in the Emirates to store and share official documents. The system, known as UAE PASS, has been touted as a joint digital identity effort between Digital Dubai, TDRA, and Abu Dhabi's government technology authorities.
Recently, there have been whispers that Avalanche might be the chain behind UAE PASS' blockchain technology. However, these claims are yet to be confirmed by officials.
Avalanche is a credible player in institutional blockchain projects, having partnered with Japan's largest security token platform, Progmat, and South Korea's Hanwha Investment and Securities. These deals have been publicly disclosed with details such as dates, numbers, and counterparties.
While the story of UAE PASS using Avalanche sounds plausible, it remains unconfirmed. The missing piece is official confirmation from TDRA, which would provide clarity on which chain or subnet is being used, who validates it, and what audit covers the smart contracts.
