UAE's National Digital Identity Platform Migrates to Avalanche Blockchain

The UAE's Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) has announced that it is upgrading the blockchain infrastructure behind its national digital identity platform, UAEPASS, to Avalanche.

UAEPASS serves over 12.5 million users, with access to more than 15,000 services and over 350 institutions in the country.

The change aims to ensure fast and reliable identity checks as the platform grows, by moving verified documents onto a dedicated government-controlled chain on Avalanche's L1 infrastructure.
