UBRI Renews Partnership with NYU Abu Dhabi Through 2027
Ripple's University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI) has renewed its partnership with NYU Abu Dhabi through 2027. The extension of this academic collaboration in the UAE is a significant development for both parties, as it allows them to continue advancing blockchain research and talent development in the region.
Reece Merrick, a Ripple executive, highlighted the growing role of NYU Abu Dhabi as a regional hub for blockchain research and innovation. He pointed out that the university's CTED has been leading several notable projects, including the expansion of the Volta Initiative and hands-on XRP Ledger research.
Merrick expressed his excitement about the next chapter of innovation emerging from Abu Dhabi, emphasizing the importance of continued academic research in strengthening XRPL's regional innovation pipeline. The renewed partnership will enable the university and Ripple to further develop blockchain expertise and explore real-world applications for the XRP Ledger.
