UBS Boosts Bitcoin ETF Holdings Amid Rising Institutional Demand

UBS Group AG has significantly increased its holdings in Blackrock's Ishares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) to approximately $90 million as of June 30, 2026. This represents a 230% increase from the end of 2025.

This move reflects growing demand from wealthy and institutional clients for regulated bitcoin exposure via ETFs, which offer a more straightforward alternative to direct bitcoin ownership.

Although the position is relatively small compared to UBS's vast $7.3 trillion in assets, it signals cautious institutional interest in digital assets.
