UK Investor Recovers $4.7M in Lost Bitcoin from 2014 Exchange Collapse
Chris, a Bitcoin investor, has successfully recovered 61 BTC worth $4.7 million that had been locked since the 2014 collapse of Intersango, the UK's first exchange to shut down.
The recovery was made possible by lawyers at CEL Solicitors tracing holdings and leveraging legal precedents for recovering lost Bitcoin from defunct UK exchanges.
Chris plans to use the recovered funds to make a larger home purchase while retaining the balance.
The price of BTC currently trades at $78,010.45, with a bullish structure above the EMA200 at $70,580.21, but the MACD death cross at -70.04 warns of momentum loss as price tests upper band resistance at $80,626.92.
