Chris, a UK resident, has just become an overnight millionaire after recovering millions of dollars in Bitcoin that he lost access to 12 years ago. The cryptocurrency was stored on Intersango, one of the earliest Bitcoin exchanges in the UK, which collapsed in 2014.

In 2011, Chris invested roughly $2031 worth of Bitcoin through Intersango, but by early 2014, the platform had gone offline and users who tried to withdraw their funds received no response. Chris' account was frozen, and he thought he had lost his investment for good.

Despite numerous unsuccessful attempts to contact the company over the years, Chris decided to try again this year with the help of legal experts. After a few months, the coins were returned to him, now valued at around $4.47 million.
