UNI Reclaims $4 Threshold as Hayden Adams Clarifies v4 Fees
Uniswap's UNI token has reclaimed the $4 psychological threshold after experiencing an 8% rebound from its daily low of $3.74.
This upward momentum was catalyzed by two primary developments: a structural clarification regarding Uniswap v4 protocol fees by founder Hayden Adams, and significant on-chain movements executed by prominent algorithmic market maker Wintermute.
Adams' clarification addressed community concerns over the upcoming v4 protocol fee structure, which would be structured as an additive charge rather than a deduction from existing LP revenue. This means that if a specific liquidity pool carries a 30-basis-point (0.30%) LP fee, the protocol fee of 5 basis points (0.05%) would be added on top, bringing the total cost for traders to 35 basis points.
The proposal aims to direct newly generated protocol revenues from v4 pools and deployments on the recently launched Robinhood Chain into the existing UNI burn mechanism, establishing a direct link between exchange transaction volume and token deflation.
