UNI Surges 122% as Uniswap Dominates Robinhood Chain
Uniswap's token, UNI, has surged 122% in value over the past week due to increased trading volumes and fees on Robinhood Chain. According to CoinMarketCap, Uniswap handled around $1.13 billion of the daily volume on Robinhood Chain, which reached a record high of $1.49 billion on August 31. This growth has led to higher UNI burns, with an annualized burn rate of approximately 5.6% of its market capitalization.
The DeFi sector as a whole is experiencing a repricing due to US policy signals and new analytics frameworks, such as Universal Token Ratings. Uniswap was highlighted as the only AAA-rated token among top DeFi protocols for fee generation, with around $7.18 million in fees over the past 30 days.
A clean technical breakout, continued whale accumulation, and strongly bullish social coverage of Uniswap v4 and burn metrics have also contributed to UNI's recent price increase. According to analysis on Coinpedia, the token has reclaimed its key resistance zone around $4.50-$4.80.
