Unicoin Sues Uniswap Labs Over Trademark Infringement Claims
Unicoin is suing Uniswap Labs in the Southern District of New York over trademark infringement claims.
The lawsuit, filed by TransparentBusiness Inc., which does business as Unicoin, seeks to cancel US trademark registration for UNI and declares that its own UNICOIN mark does not infringe or dilute Uniswap's claimed marks.
Uniswap had sent three demand letters accusing Unicoin of infringement, dilution, cybersquatting, and unfair competition, threatening further action if the claims were not addressed.
The lawsuit also seeks a declaration that Unicoin's domains unicoin.com and unicoin.org do not violate the federal Anti-Cybersquatting Consumer Protection Act.
