Unicoin Sues Uniswap Over Trademark Dispute

Unicoin has filed a lawsuit against Uniswap Labs in New York federal court over a trademark dispute. The company is seeking a declaration that its UNICOIN brand does not infringe on Uniswap's trademarks and requesting cancellation of Uniswap's federal UNI trademark.

The dispute began when Uniswap demanded Unicoin stop using the UNICOIN name and transfer related domains, alleging trademark infringement and unfair competition. However, Unicoin argues that the UNI mark is generic and widely used, and that their branding and products differ significantly from Uniswap's.
