Unicoin, a company planning to launch its UNCN token on Sept. 28, has filed a federal lawsuit against Uniswap Labs in New York.

The complaint seeks a court ruling that Unicoin's use of the UNICOIN mark does not infringe or dilute Uniswap's claimed trademarks for UNI, UNISWAP, and UNICHAIN. It also requests cancellation of Uniswap's U.S. trademark registration for UNI.

The dispute follows three demand letters sent by Uniswap's counsel between June 3 and Aug. 14, which accused Unicoin of infringement, dilution, cybersquatting, and unfair competition.
