Uniswap Enters Launchpad Wars with Zero-Fee Token Platform
Uniswap, the decentralized trading protocol, has launched its own token-launch platform called Pools.trade on Robinhood Chain. The move marks a significant entry into the launchpad wars, where platforms allow users to spin up and launch new tokens quickly.
The platform's rollout was somewhat chaotic, with traders discovering earlier versions of the smart contracts before the interface went live. This led to over $150 million in volume being pushed through the test version, forcing the team to support both versions simultaneously and delaying the official launch.
Pools.trade charges no launchpad fee and features permanently locked liquidity. The 0.25% LP fee autocompounds back into the locked pool, rather than going to Uniswap's team or other stakeholders.
Uniswap has already seen a significant impact on Robinhood Chain, with DEX volumes rebounding 50% from local lows and daily transactions up 50%. Pools.trade is capturing 50% market share by launchpad volume and 40% of new tokens launched.
