Uniswap founder Hayden Adams believes that automated market makers (AMMs) are poised to enter global finance. He argues that correlated tokenized-asset pools can help reduce market-making risk and attract more capital, deepening liquidity in these markets.

In an August 18 blog post, Adams pointed out that the top five tokenized SPY pairs on Uniswap's Robinhood Chain have processed over $33 million in volume from more than 11,000 traders within their first 12 days of operation. These pools allow users to trade directly against each other without using dollars.

Adams has been working in decentralized finance for nine years and created Uniswap in 2018. The protocol has since processed over $4.6 trillion in cumulative volume, with decentralized exchanges increasing their share of centralized-exchange spot volume from below 1% to over 20% during the same period.
