Uniswap Launches Permissioned Pools for Compliant On-Chain Trading

Uniswap Labs has rolled out Permissioned Pools on Uniswap v4, enabling compliant on-chain trading of regulated assets. This new feature adds access checks to ensure that only approved users can trade or provide liquidity for tokenized funds, equities, and securities.

The launch partners include Superstate, Securitize, and Dowgo, which helped develop the compliant trading infrastructure. Uniswap emphasized that the permissioned pools are separate from regular Uniswap v4 pools, allowing developers to choose between a restricted or permissionless format for their assets.

Permissioned Pools check issuer-managed allowlists before every swap, ensuring that only approved users can access the pool's liquidity. The hook also enforces the issuer's rules during swaps and liquidity actions, making it easier for regulated issuers to manage their assets on-chain.
