Uniswap Price Breaks Trendline Resistance as Cumberland Continues Aggressive Accumulation
Uniswap's (UNI) price surged nearly 13% over the past week, breaking above a multi-month descending trendline. This significant price action comes on the heels of Uniswap introducing Permissioned Pools on its v4 protocol to support compliant trading of tokenized assets. The feature enables regulated institutions to trade RWAs while adhering to on-chain regulatory requirements.
The launch marks Uniswap's push into institutional decentralized finance, expanding its addressable market beyond traditional crypto trading. Cumberland, a crypto market maker, continued its aggressive accumulation of UNI by purchasing more than 1.62 million tokens worth approximately $6.77 million over four hours at an average price of $4.17.
The RSI has climbed to 56.26, indicating strengthening buying momentum without entering overbought territory. Meanwhile, the CMF has crossed into positive territory near 0.01, suggesting fresh capital inflows are returning to UNI after months of selling pressure. The next major resistance sits around $5.05, followed by the psychological $7.00 level if buying momentum continues.
