Uniswap Price Edges Lower Despite Record Token Burns
Uniswap's price has edged lower as Hayden Adams highlighted a new milestone in token burns. The UNI token is currently trading at $4.482, down 0.84% from its previous close.
The price slipped from an intraday high of $4.844 to its current level after facing resistance near $4.85 and hitting overbought conditions. Despite the technical headwinds, Adams' comments on UNI's record annualized token burn levels drew investor interest.
According to Adams, UNI's 30-day metric has surpassed $100 million in token burns, while the 7-day metric has hit an all-time high of $150 million. This increase in token burns can signal higher protocol activity and potentially reduce circulating supply, which often attracts investor attention.
However, the market prioritized technical resistance and profit-taking over the enthusiasm generated by record protocol activity. Uniswap's ecosystem remains robust, with record protocol fee generation, an AAA rating from Universal Token Ratings, and continued multichain activity supporting broader adoption.
