Uniswap Price Rockets Past $6 Amid Institutional Buying Frenzy
Uniswap's price has reached an eight-month high of $6.37 after gaining nearly 20% in just one week. The significant rally can be attributed to institutional buying, with market maker Wintermute moving over $11 million worth of UNI into their wallet this week.
The influx of institutional capital is a distinct departure from the early August rally, which was driven by Uniswap's token burn mechanism. According to CoinGlass data cited by on-chain analyst Professor Onchain, spot net inflow rose to $11.2 million on September 1, marking the highest levels since December 2025.
The increase in institutional buying is also reflected in trading volume, which jumped a staggering 153% as the price moved higher. This surge in activity is largely driven by Uniswap's partnership with Robinhood Chain, a layer-2 network designed to settle tokenized equity products. The integration has led to improved underlying fundamentals for Uniswap, including increased decentralized exchange volume and total value locked on the network.
