Uniswap Surpasses Circle as Second-Highest Fee-Generating Crypto Protocol
Uniswap has surpassed Circle as the second-highest fee-generating crypto protocol after Tether, generating $66.8 million in fees last week.
This growth is partly driven by increased activity on Robinhood's new Ethereum Layer 2, which is boosting demand for on-chain trading on Uniswap.
Circle, on the other hand, is focusing on expanding its USDC stablecoin payments by acquiring Singapore-based payments platform Tazapay for $400 million in an all-stock deal expected to close in 2027.
