Uniswap Swaps Hit Record High as Trading Volumes Surge
Uniswap's weekly swaps surged by an impressive 86% to reach a new record high of 40 million. This significant increase in trading activity is indicative of strong user growth and broader network adoption.
The higher trading volumes led to increased fees for the protocol, resulting in its revenue doubling from $17 million to over $33 million in just a few months.
In addition to the growing usage, large holders or 'whales' have been accumulating UNI tokens, reducing supply on exchanges and supporting a price rally. The token's price has risen from $2.48 to $5.14, with some analysts predicting it may push towards its next resistance level at $7.80.
