Uniswap Token May Rise 40-Fold as DeFi Growth Skyrockets
Standard Chartered, a global bank, released a note on decentralized finance (DeFi) and its growth expectations. According to their research, tokenized assets active in DeFi will increase by 37 times by the end of 2030.
The forecast includes $2.7 trillion worth of assets locked in DeFi, up from current levels. The bank attributes this growth to real-world assets, stablecoins, and crypto-native assets moving deeper into on-chain trading infrastructure.
Uniswap's UNI token is expected to benefit from this growth, with a potential 40-fold increase by the end of 2030. Standard Chartered initiated coverage of Uniswap with a $100 price forecast for UNI by end-2030.
The bank expects UNI to rise to $6.50 in 2026, $20 in 2027, $40 in 2028, $65 in 2029, and $100 in 2030. This compares to the current price of around $2.50, implying a significant increase.
