Uniswap's trading volume has reached record levels, with over 7 million swaps in one day. According to Uniswap founder Hayden Adams, the decentralized exchange is handling roughly 82 swaps per second across chains.

This milestone comes after a rapid expansion of protocol fees. In July, governance discussions led to the activation of fee controllers on multiple chains, including Ethereum and Polygon. As of August 12, v4 fees had been activated across over 229,000 v4 pools, with nearly all pools contributing some portion of swap fees to the UNI burn.

However, despite the record trading volume, actual fees are lagging behind. According to Blockworks' data from August 12, protocol revenue stood at around $4 million over 30 days, with liquidity providers earning roughly $44 million in fees.
