Uniswap Trading Volumes Soar to New Heights

Uniswap's decentralized exchange (DEX) has seen record-breaking trading volumes, exceeding 7 million swaps in one day. According to Uniswap founder Hayden Adams, the protocol is handling around 82 swaps per second across chains.

This milestone follows a rapid expansion of protocol fees, which were activated across all v2 and v3 pools on 11 chains in July. Governance also added Robinhood Chain for v2 and v3 and executed the first part of the v4 fee proposal, activating fee controllers on several chains.

While the record activity may expand Uniswap's fee base, available data does not quantify how much Sept. 1 activity reached it. Currently, value capture is measurable through dollars accrued to the protocol and $UNI burned, but not as a percentage of the latest swaps.
