Uniswap Unveils Gas Sponsorship Feature in App

Uniswap has rolled out its gas sponsorship feature in its app, allowing connected wallets to automatically cover gas costs through smart accounts and paymasters. This change aims to remove a barrier to first-time users by handling the gas step for connected wallets.

The feature is now live for connected wallets, which can use 4337 smart accounts and 7677 paymasters to sponsor gas. By simplifying this process, Uniswap hopes to make initial transactions easier and support broader onboarding and transaction activity.

However, the success of this feature depends on users actually adopting the sponsored flow. Availability alone does not demonstrate sustained use.
