Uniswap v4 Module Hit by $7.73M Ethereum Exploit
A Safe wallet user has suffered a significant loss after falling victim to an Ethereum rsETH exploit that targeted Uniswap v4's liquidity provider module. The attacker, using a public keeper multicall function, was able to reroute funds away from the intended destination and into an attacker-controlled hooked pool.
The financial impact of the exploit is estimated at around $7.73 million in lost rsETH, according to Blockaid, which reported the incident. This marks one of the most significant single-wallet losses tied to Uniswap v4 infrastructure since the protocol's rollout.
The exploit highlights the risks associated with interacting with newer, custom-built DeFi modules, and underscores the importance of tightening access controls on public functions like keeper multicalls.
