Uniswap's Dominance on Robinhood Chain Drives Token Price Surge
Altcoins have had a strong month, with the TOTAL2ES market cap up close to 32% in the past four weeks. Within the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market cap, Uniswap's UNI token has risen by 39.1%, while Arbitrum's ARB has more than doubled, increasing by 107.4%. These price movements can be attributed to the success of Robinhood Chain, which has become the largest fee-generating chain in crypto.
The network, launched two months ago, has seen cumulative DEX volume exceed $40 billion and daily revenue surpass $4 million, outperforming other chains like Hyperliquid, Ethereum, BNB chain, and Base. Uniswap is the main exchange on Robinhood Chain, accounting for nearly all of its trading activity.
The UNI token benefits from this arrangement as it earns a higher fee rate on Robinhood Chain compared to other networks. Tokenized stocks have contributed significantly to this increase in fees, with their pairs now making up around 4.1% of the chain's volume. The recent upgrade to Uniswap's protocol has also led to the burning of UNI tokens, further supporting its price.
Arbitrum's ARB token, however, does not benefit directly from the fees generated on Robinhood Chain. Instead, it receives a 10% share of net protocol revenue under the Arbitrum Expansion Program, with 8% going to the DAO treasury and 2% to the developer guild.
