Uniswap's Reported Burn Activity Fuels $UNI Price Surge
Uniswap's token, UNI, has seen significant gains in recent days, with traders attributing the surge to reported burn activity. According to a post from KCEX, Uniswap fees generated on the Robinhood Chain have been funding burns, including $278K burned on August 29 alone.
The post claims that tokenized stock trading on the chain generated close to $130M in volume in a single day, with the resulting Uniswap fees contributing to the increased burn activity. This narrative has drawn buyers, leading to UNI's price increase.
As of August 31, 2026, at 1:31 IST, UNI is trading at $5.1475, up 5% on the day and 60% off its level of $3.20 from two weeks ago. The token's market capitalization has also increased to $3.19B, while its total supply stands at 890.14M UNI.
The bullish case for Uniswap suggests that a daily close above the resistance level at $5.4945 would confirm the breakout and open a path toward higher prices. However, if the token fails to hold support at $4.9216, it could drop toward $4.4059.
