Universal USD Pegs Stablecoin Value to US Dollar
Universal USD (USDU) is a stablecoin pegged to the US Dollar that operates on public blockchain infrastructure. It serves as a bridge between traditional finance and the digital asset economy, providing a stable medium for value transfer and settlement.
The project aims to drive digital innovation within the UAE by offering a regulated alternative to existing stablecoins. Universal USD is issued by Universal Digital Intl Limited, which is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) in ADGM, providing a robust level of institutional oversight.
The token is primarily utilized by institutional market participants for digital asset trading settlement, corporate treasury management, and cross-venue liquidity movement. The project's technology and distribution are powered by Aquanow (Aquanow ME FZE), an institutional digital asset platform regulated by the Dubai Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA).
USDU is fully backed by liquid reserves held in regulated commercial banks and utilizes the Ethereum network to facilitate 24/7 settlement and treasury management for professional clients.
