Upbit Adds Blockstreet (BSB) To Its Platform Amid Growing Interest In Tokenized Assets
The South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit is set to list Blockstreet (BSB) on its platform, marking an expansion of its trading offerings. Trading for BSB will begin on February 12, 2025, at 14:00 KST, with deposits opening two hours prior. The exchange has also implemented a temporary restriction on sell orders during the first five minutes after trading begins to prevent extreme volatility.
Blockstreet is a relatively new project that aims to tokenize real-world assets and facilitate their trading on blockchain networks. While its long-term viability remains to be seen, the listing on Upbit provides BSB with significant exposure to the Korean market, which has historically been a major driver of cryptocurrency trading activity.
The inclusion of KRW, BTC, and USDT pairs ensures that both local and international users can trade the token with ease. However, investors should exercise caution when engaging in speculation or investment, as new listings on major exchanges can be volatile.
