Upbit Cancels HEMI Trading Amid Token Theft Exploit
South Korean crypto exchange Upbit canceled trading of Hemi (HEMI) after discovering evidence of token theft linked to a September 7 smart-contract exploit.
The attacker stole approximately 124.5 million unclaimed HEMI tokens and converted the proceeds into stablecoins and Ether, generating around $255,000 in stablecoins.
Cluster Protocol (CP), on the other hand, began trading across Upbit's KRW, BTC, and USDT markets using deposits through Base exclusively.
