Upbit Lists CFX Against KRW, BTC, and USDT on July 31
South Korea's largest crypto exchange, Upbit, has announced that it will list Conflux Network's native token CFX against three major trading pairs on July 31. The three pairs - KRW (Korean Won), BTC (Bitcoin), and USDT (Tether) - are an unusual move for an exchange listing, as most start with a single base pair.
The Upbit listing is significant for Conflux Network, which has positioned itself as China's only regulatory-compliant public blockchain. Founded in 2018 by academics tied to Canadian institutions, the project has gained attention for its unique stance on Chinese regulations.
Conflux has been actively courting institutional capital, with recent upgrades and partnerships that signal its commitment to enterprise-grade custody. The network integrated support for the Infini stablecoin on July 6 and partnered with Fireblocks in June, a move that indicates it is targeting the type of capital that requires robust infrastructure.
The Upbit listing creates a sequence of events that will be closely watched by the market. Following the listing at the end of July, Conflux Network is set to undergo a significant protocol upgrade, dubbed Conflux 3.0, in August. This upgrade aims to boost transaction throughput to 15,000 transactions per second.
The Upbit listing provides liquidity infrastructure for CFX holders in Korea, allowing them to exit and enter the market with ease. The three-pair structure also matters for arbitrage dynamics, creating multiple pricing references that traders will actively align across markets.
