Upbit has announced that it will list Lighter's LIT token in its South Korean won market, effective August 24 at 1:00 pm KST. The move allows customers to purchase LIT directly with the local currency for the first time.

The listing will support deposits and withdrawals through Ethereum using Upbit's specified LIT contract address exclusively. Initially, only limit orders will be available during the first two hours of trading, after which market orders and other conditional order types will become accessible.

Upbit has also implemented restrictions to reduce disorderly trading, including blocking buy orders for approximately five minutes after trading begins and limiting early LIT/KRW orders. The exchange warned that trading could be postponed if it fails to secure sufficient liquidity after deposits and withdrawals become available.
