Upbit Lists RLUSD with KRW, BTC, and USDT Trading Pairs
South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit has announced the listing of RLUSD, a digital asset, for trading against the Korean won (KRW), Bitcoin (BTC), and Tether (USDT). The new trading pairs will go live at 5:00 a.m. UTC on July 28.
The inclusion of a KRW trading pair is significant because it allows local retail investors to trade directly in fiat currency, which can attract higher trading volumes and price volatility in the post-listing period.
RLUSD is a relatively new entrant in the digital asset space, but its listing on Upbit signals that it has been vetted by the exchange's listing committee. The committee assesses projects based on technology, team, legal compliance, and market demand.
