Upbit Lists Six Altcoins Including DePIN and AI Tokens
South Korea's dominant exchange Upbit has added six new altcoins to its platform, including DePIN and AI tokens. The tokens, Cysic (CYS), Impossible Cloud Network (ICNT), Anoma (XAN), OpenEden (EDEN), $AIOZ Network ($AIOZ), and Allora Network (ALLO), went live on August 10 at 2:00 p.m. KST. This move reflects Upbit's deliberate push into narratives that have been gaining institutional and developer mindshare.
The selection of altcoins covers a broad range of sectors, from compute marketplaces to cross-chain coordination. OpenEden leans on Ethereum's mature lending primitives, while Anoma takes a more architectural approach to network fragmentation. This mix exposes Korean traders to project types that previously required swapping on decentralized venues or accessing smaller offshore exchanges.
The listing pairs for the tokens are against both Bitcoin (BTC) and Tether (USDT), not against Korean won. This pairing choice bypasses the local fiat on-ramp and tilts the liquidity setup toward global arbitrage traders and investors already holding stablecoin balances.
