Upbit Teams With Visa for Global Payments Using Stablecoins
Dunamu's Upbit exchange is expanding beyond cryptocurrency trading into global payments and remittances through a partnership with Visa. The companies plan to use stablecoins, such as OUSD, for next-generation financial services.
The partnership will connect Upbit's digital asset technology to Visa's global payment network. This combination aims to make it easier and cheaper for people to send money overseas using blockchain networks.
Upbit currently handles transactions mainly in Korean won, but with the new partnership, users can hold stablecoins like OUSD, which is pegged to the US dollar, and use them for international payments and remittances.
