Uphold Transfers $206M in XRP Amid Market Volatility
A recent onchain transaction caught the attention of XRP sleuths as 145,634,500 XRP (valued at $206,551,114) was sent from one Uphold wallet to another within a 24-hour period.
The sending account, labeled 'Uphold (4)', had previously been involved in several large transactions with other Uphold wallets, including the transfer of 890 million XRP in 2022 and 120.7 million XRP between November 2024 and November 2025.
The receiving wallet, r3Mbwdryx6EZNzVFe2hJn1kPoLuAUx61Dk, was activated by Uphold four months prior to the large transfer, with a small test payment of 50 XRP sent on September 14. The wallet has since received 145,634,555 XRP and has not made any outgoing transactions.
The transaction occurred during a volatile period for XRP, with prices reaching as high as $1.49 on September 14 before settling around $1.40.
