UPS Commits $2 Billion to Global Healthcare Logistics Expansion
United Parcel Service (UPS) is embarking on its largest coordinated infrastructure investment program to date, committing over $2 billion across international operations, healthcare logistics, and supply chain solutions from 2024 through 2028.
The company has already made significant strides in this area, with a historic milestone reached in the first quarter of 2026 when its healthcare business segment generated over $3 billion in quarterly revenue for the first time in company history.
UPS is building out 27 specialized temperature-controlled centers to support pharmaceutical distribution, particularly GLP-1 medications for weight management. These facilities will be strategically located across the Americas, European markets, and Asian territories.
