US 29-Year Bond Auction Sees Non-Competitive Bids Top $42 Million

The US government recently held an auction for the 29-year 11-month bond security. The bond has a maturity date of August 15, 2056 and was issued on September 15, 2026.

The non-competitive bids for this bond were announced by Reuters. According to the data, a total of $42,553,500 in non-comps were accepted out of an offering amount of $22 billion.

This leaves approximately $21,957,446,500 remaining in the comp pool. The SOMA (System Open Market Account) tendered zero dollars for this bond.
