US and UK Unite on Crypto Regulation to Streamline Cross-Border Finance
The US and UK are expanding their cooperation on digital assets to modernize finance. The two countries have agreed to comparable standards for stablecoins and similar financial risks.
A joint statement by the U.S. Department of the Treasury outlined coordinated efforts to advance crypto regulation, payment modernization, financial stability, and capital-market reforms across both jurisdictions.
The talks also covered tokenization, artificial intelligence, and cross-border financial cooperation. The countries aim to reduce unnecessary cross-border friction, improve supervisory cooperation, expand capital raising, and clarify regulatory treatment for tokenized financial activity.
