U.S. authorities have successfully dismantled Hamas's digital fundraising and recruitment networks, confiscating over $560,000 in cryptocurrency linked to the organization's operations.

The operation involved multiple warrant executions throughout 2025, with federal agents seizing domain names, hosting servers, and cryptocurrency wallet addresses used by Hamas for financial solicitation and supporter recruitment.

According to court documents, Hamas operatives distributed frequently updated cryptocurrency wallet addresses through secure messaging channels, while contributors were pointed toward a fundraising portal associated with the organization. Federal investigators collaborated with confidential sources to identify and monitor these digital wallet addresses, resulting in the confiscation of assets through three separate enforcement actions throughout 2025.

The initial March 2025 operation secured approximately $201,400, with that particular wallet network processing over $1.5 million since October 2024. Seizing the digital infrastructure enabled federal agents to redirect cryptocurrency contributions away from Hamas before they could be received, while also obtaining valuable intelligence regarding thousands of people who had engaged with the platform.
