US Chip Stocks Plummet as Intel Slides Over 7%
On Monday, US chip stocks experienced a broad decline, with several major players in the sector falling significantly. Intel (INTC.US) led the pack, dropping by over 7%.
Others that saw substantial losses include SK Hynix (SKHY.US), SanDisk (SNDK.US), Micron Technology (MU.US), and Seagate Technology (STX.US), all of which fell by more than 6%. Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.US) and Western Digital (WDC.US) also lost value, down over 5%, while Qualcomm (QCOM.US) and Broadcom (AVGO.US) declined by over 4%.
Only a few chip stocks managed to buck the trend: NVIDIA (NVDA.US) fell by less than 3%, as did TSMC (TSM.US).
