US Commerce Partners with Chainlink to Publish Economic Data on Blockchains
The US Department of Commerce has formed a partnership with Chainlink to publish official economic data on 10 public blockchain networks, including Ethereum and Arbitrum.
This move enables smart contracts to access verified government macroeconomic data, such as GDP, inflation, and private sales data. The data feeds update monthly or quarterly in sync with the Bureau of Economic Analysis releases.
Market analysts note that Chainlink's growing market cap near $8.5B may lead to potential growth to $200 per LINK token by 2030 due to expanding blockchain applications.
